Patrols (Scouts) & Committees (Adult)

The troop is currently split up in 4 patrols:

  • Beagles,
  • Beavers;
  • Vikings;
  • Wolverines

Each patrol has an Assistant Scoutmaster attached.  The troop tries to keep a balanced composition of the patrols based on age and rank.  We have attached the current patrol structure together with leadership position.

The committee is an integral part of the Scout troop.  Whereas the Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmasters work on the operational/functional side of the troop, the Committee manages the administrative/business side.  Examples include financing such as Scout fundraisers (popcorn, wreath sales) and troop fundraisers (Christmas tree pickup); help in securing campsites/permits etc.; advancement and equipment coordination to mention a few.  Laura Modawell has been nominated as the troop’s new Committee Chair and as she transitions into her role you will hear more from her.

All parents are encouraged to attend the monthly committee/parent meeting.  Only registered adults can vote so we encourage you to register which also enables you participate in Board of Review.  The BOR is the final approval process for Scout rank advancement. The board reviews the Scout to ensure all requirements and that the Scout is ready to advance to the next rank.
